Increase expected in credit card debt (Financial Times)

Credit card borrowers are showing growing signs of financial strain owing to the economic slowdown, a prominent ratings agency warned on Wednesday. Moody’s , which monitors the performance of £28.5bn ($56.2bn) credit card loans that have been securitised into the capital markets, expects an increase in bad debts in the coming months because of the economic downturn.
